Oct 7 – OCT 22, 2021
This Air Safari tour is limited to a maximum of 4 participating aircraft. We will stay within South Africa during the tour so there will be no issues with mandatory health checks once the tour starts until you are back in Johannesburg at the end of the tour to prepare to fly back home.
Self-fly African Wildlife Adventure
This 15-day self-fly safari trip starts with a flight from Johannesburg to the Sabi Sands in the Greater Kruger National Park. This tour includes not only the Kruger area for a multi-day safari in the Sabi Sands, but will bring you to the Wild Coast with its waterfalls falling into the ocean and its whales. In Cape Town we will visit its highlights such as Table Mountain but also taste wines at some of the famous wineries in and around Stellenbosch. The Karoo is a semi-desert natural region of South Africa which we will be visiting as well. Some of the lodges where we will be staying are well known for their wildlife such as Leopard Hills in the Sabi Sands known as well as the Woestalleen lodge in the private nature reserve Welgevonden, which is famous for its rhinos.
If you have an EASA or FAA pilot license, we will assist you in getting your pilot license converted to a South African validated PPL license. The validation process is straightforward and includes mostly paperwork, one theory exam in South African Air law and a check ride with a local flight instructor once you arrive in South Africa. In addition, we will find you a suitable aircraft to rent for this trip. We can also arrange a safety pilot to come with you, but if you know how to fly your aircraft at home, there will be no problem in doing the same in Africa. We will be flying along as well in a support aircraft and will give a full flight and weather briefing each morning. We are there to make the whole process as hassle-free as possible.
If you do not have a pilot license, you can fly along as passenger.
