April 22 – May 16, 2022
This Air Safari tour is limited to a maximum of 5 participating aircraft. The tour will go through South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
Self-fly African Wildlife Adventure
This 3,5 week self-fly safari trip starts with a flight from Johannesburg to the Sabi Sands in the Greater Kruger National Park. This tour includes not only the Kruger area for a multi-day safari in the Sabi Sands, but will bring you to the Wild Coast with its waterfalls falling into the ocean and its whales. In Cape Town we will visit its highlights such as Table Mountain but also taste wines at some of the famous wineries in and around Stellenbosch. From Cape Town we will be flying up north to Namibia to visit the Fish River Canyon, the sand dunes of Sussusvlei, the lost town of Kolmanskop, Windhoek and the small strip of land once called the Caprivi strip just north of Botswana to fly southbound again for a safari in Botswana before heading back to Johannesburg.
If you have an EASA or FAA pilot license, we will assist you in getting your pilot license converted to a South African validated PPL license. The validation process is straightforward and includes mostly paperwork, one theory exam in South African Air law and a check ride with a local flight instructor once you arrive in South Africa. In addition, we will find you a suitable aircraft to rent for this trip. We can also arrange a safety pilot to come with you, but if you know how to fly your aircraft at home, there will be no problem in doing the same in Africa. We will be flying along as well in a support aircraft and will give a full flight and weather briefing each morning. We are there to make the whole process as hassle-free as possible.
If you do not have a pilot license, you can fly along as passenger.
